Front facelock suplex

A lift-based throw where shared timing and the receiving foundation come first.

Also called: vertical suplex · front headlock suplex

The reference

The Monster Factory clip demonstrates a suplex from a front facelock. Sharpe briefly identifies the hold and elevation; the reference does not supply a full preparation or spotting progression.

Prerequisites to discuss

A qualified coach must assess both partners’ readiness, supervised progressions, and the training environment. Study-only until that happens.

What to observe

Separate recognition of the setup from knowledge of how to execute it. What preparation and communication are missing from a short demonstration?

Pitfalls & coaching questions

Do not experiment with height, stalling, or added rotation from this reference. A named variant is not interchangeable with every move called a suplex.

These prompts are editorial. Watch the original demonstration with a qualified coach, ask what the camera leaves out, and use the coach’s progression for physical practice. Our difficulty labels organize the library; they are not a school qualification.
